And what about any reasonably available training for the guy who purchases a car for any reason and knows nothing about cars and has little interest in learning even simple safety?
More people are killed in America due to automotive accidents than gunshot wounds, after all.

Now if you’re trying to say “That guy won’t seek such training on his own, so we have to make him,” consider the fact that the “Everytown for Gun Safety” folks don’t have any problem trying to shut down shooting ranges — the very places where that training would take place — using noise ordinances, environmental regulations and such (they’ve only been doing just that since the 1980s).
If Bloomberg truly cared about gun safety training, he would be spending his billions on building new shooting ranges, instead of lobbying and agitating to wipe out the Second Amendment a little bit at a time.
