The answer to all three questions is that if you don’t like the responses you get from the charter school or private school in question, you’re free to pull your kid(s) out and enroll them with a competitor.

So your answer is to keep taking from others and throwing their money and their kids into your preferred system, even if they object to that?

Because all rich people do with their money is put it all in one big pile to roll around in, and never spend any of it, correct?
So the utility companies provide them with water, electricity, gas, etc., gratis just because, correct?
Those rich people never have to pay for food, gasoline for their cars, cell phone service, or internet service, because it’s all just given to them at no charge?
Claudia Anderson — The private education “system” was what America had before the 1870s, when the Prussian-style public education system (centered around producing conformists) was imported to America by Horace Mann.

“The rich don’t, as a rule, spend their money, thus allowing it to move down to lower economic groups. Instead, they invest it. Where it stays.”
Last time I checked, it’s their money, not mine, not yours. Do Bill Gates or Warren Buffett send you letters or emails telling you demanding that you spend your money in ways that they approve of?
I’m one of the “working poor” as well, and I haven’t yet received any such letter from any rich guy.
As for the phrase “working poor,” poverty in the Third World is when flies are all over your kids on a regular basis due to lack of sanitation. Poverty in America, by contrast, is when you get that letter from the cable company with “FINAL NOTICE” across the top of the page in big red letters.

“The rich are, last I checked, still free to do with their money as they wish.”
Only if they make the “proper” contributions to the DNC and RNC. Which in itself is a form of legalized shakedown.
As for the poverty line —

IF this hypothetical 1/3 of the federal workforce actually does follow through on this, that will make Trump one of the better presidents in American history.
The word “IF” is capitalized because there also have been plenty of collectivist, “liberal,” hoplophobic celebrities saying that they would leave the country if Trump was elected. Well, Trump won the election (or out-cheated Hillzabeast), and those celebrities seem to be staying put.

I don’t, either. But as I said above, that’s a BIG “IF” — a bunch of egomaniacal clickbait types of the “left” variety have said that they’ll ship out, as well, which doesn’t seem to be happening.
Or maybe they’re all hoping against hope that Trump will go on TV, say “OK, you got me,” and hand the presidency over to Hillary tomorrow afternoon.
That, and the responses I get from the Hillzabeast worshippers are just golden.

Well, some of the papparazi chum DID say they would leave the country if Trump won, and they would NEVER go back on their word, correct? So it just becomes a question of where they’ll go.
