   I first heard about this sort of thing back in 1991 when I was in the Army Reserve, back in Horsham, Pennsylvania.

   Sure, there’s an expiration date to the Earth’s climate, just that it will come much later than the 21st, 22nd or even 31st century — try around the 50,000,000th century (about 5,000,000,000 AD), when the Sun’s hydrogen fuel runs out and it moves off the main sequence to its red giant phase, and its surface moves out to about where the Earth is now.

   Incidentally, why aren’t those who are so “concerned” about increased carbon dioxide in the air working to promote any kind of nuclear power possible — fission, fusion, whatever?

   A lot of the “climate crisis” proponents seem to be Star Trek fans to some degree. Ask them this — why isn’t the Enterprise powered by solar panels (how many square miles would you need?), but by a matter-antimatter reactor about the size of a bus?

   Ask them why they have no problem with spaceships of the far future using nuclear power, but don’t want present-day humanity to have anything to do with it. Ya gotta start somewhere in learning how to use it, just like anything else.

   I bought a CZ-52 without showing ID or filling out any paperwork at a gun show in Albuquerque back around 1998. I forked over my ∅185, asked the guy what sort of paperwork was involved, he said “no paperwork,” and I walked away with the pistol. (I’ve since sold it to someone else.)
