I was there (right side of the center aisle, last row), heard the anti-Milo fascists thumping on the doors at the back of the ballroom before they brought Milo out, had to wait about 20-30 minutes after it was over before the NM State Police would let any of the attendees leave the ballroom, etc.
I will say that it wasn’t one of his better speeches. Milo came out wearing cop-fetish gear (a black tactical-type vest with “POLICE” in white lettering on it).
There must have been about 50 NMSP officers, including EOD (“bomb squad”) in and around the ballroom, along with UNMPD, UNM Security and Securitas officers.
As we were departing from the SUB, we had to go through a cordon of cops in riot gear to get to the nearby parking structure.
UNM had the entire food court at the SUB shut down. I’m guessing that the decision for that one was made by UNM for “security concerns.” I didn’t have any chance to get dinner until 8:30 PM that night.
