I *LOVE* Plank #10 — Auditing the IRS pricks. Those audits should be along the lines of the “Taxpayer Compliance Measurement Program,” where they would pick someone at random and make the unlucky person produce all of their receipts, just to see how much people were trying to “cheat” the system.
Humans have been modifying the genomes of plants and animals for thousands of years — corn as we know it today can’t survive as a wild plant, for example. Recombinant DNA technology is just the latest example of this. Plus, I’ve taken a biotechnology course, and the examples cited against “GMOs” seem rather overblown to me.

Nullification is the idea that the state government issues some sort of declaration that the state government will not enforce the federal edict, statute, whatever in question. This is a step further than simple noncompliance — this is the State government saying, “No, Washington — you can take this law and shove it.”
I think Obama and the Imperial Washingtonians really stepped in it big time with this, with cap-and-trade, and a few other things. Nullification was considered dead and buried as a method of resisting federal controls after the 1850′s. I suppose on this basis we should probably offer Obama our most sincere thanks in that legislators in 30-some states are getting up off their rears and back up on their hind legs in opposition to ObamaCare.
This gives me a bit more hope that we won’t have to go to arms after all to regain our Liberty from the Imperials.
Paul, while I liked the article that you linked to — maybe I should move to Colorado Springs? — I voted that yes, the courts would allow this idiotic, insane, evil plan to go through.
After all, look at all of the other idiocies, insanities and evils that the courts sign off upon — this is just the latest in a long string of usurpations and indignities.

Not at all — the companies those stocks represent will be able to charge more and more and more. After all, the end-users of their products and services won’t be paying for those products and services. Instead, it will all be free for the asking, just like in all of those European countries where they have “universal health care.”
Just that you’ll see how “free” it is when you get your tax bill, and you’re paying 70-80 percent of your income to the Imperial District of Columbia.
You’ll see how “free” it is when the Legislature raises the gross receipts tax and the personal income tax to ten, fifteen, twenty percent to pay for the state government’s side of this disaster.
I LOVE the fact that it took the Obamatons, along with their like-minded oppressive and regressive allies, the better part of a year to come up with this “Coffee Party” schtick.
This bodes well for the libertarian movement and its conservative fellow travelers, in my opinion. It shows that we’ve got the better ideas, and can adapt faster to changing circumstances.
The rule of law is only as good as those that are enforcing it, the men in black who view themselves as honorable and depend on campaign contributions as do the elected body of any state, pander to the prison industry.
Just wanted to add that those who make the laws must also be honorable, otherwise we have thousands of people in prison for victimless crimes. For example, how many are incarcerated due to Prohibition Part II, otherwise known as the War on Drugs?

Whatever the numbers, it’s probably too much being spent on both. Don’t forget that the budget and spending books are most likely cooked, both at the Santa Fe end and at the individual prisons and universities.
Ask Gordon Bennett what happened to the Ø560,000 donated to CNM’s Photonics program by Intel and Schott Solar while he was the chair of that program in 2008.
Apparently, that’s just not good enough for the oppressives and regressives in the Obama Administration.
Remember back in 1998, as Governor Johnson was running for re-election with Slick Marty Chavez as his opponent? Slick complained that Johnson wasn’t enrolling as many people as were eligible into the system.
Liz, gonna have to wait for Option 2 where Martin Heinrich, my geographical “representative,” is concerned — he campaigned in 2008 on supporting this sort of thing, he’s been an advocate of this crap long before being elected to the ABQ City Council in 2002. So unless Jon Barela, the GOP candidate for this spot, wins in November AND turns out to be better on the issues than Heinrich . . . keep your powder dry and check six.
How do they know if you just flat-out refuse to recycle anything? Do they break open your trash bags at some point and look for something that can identify you? Remember, they’re insisting that you do this without any sort of compensation — if they want to make it mandatory, that’s involuntary servitude, and thus a violation of the Thirteenth Amendment, last time I checked.
Also remember that after you’ve been generous enough to wastespend your valuable time sorting the recycleables and walking them to the curb, they’ll pick them up (at your expense, via legalized thefttaxation) most likely hand them over to a for-profit company for the actual recycling task. How much of the profit made by that corporation from your trash will you ever see in your wallet?
If they really want people to do this, the recycling mavens will make it so that everyone involved, including you the residents, can get a piece of the profit.
If that’s too much trouble, then just throw it — it still gets recycled; it just takes a little longer, that’s all.

Today at the State Republican Party Pre-Primary Nominating Convention I received 107 votes and my opponent received 26 votes, totaling 133 votes. These results give us 80.45 percent of the delegate vote, confirming our expectations. This victory really means two things. irst, that my name will be listed first on the Republican Primary Ballot. Some have said that winning this ballot position is worth up to four percentage points in an election. Second, this result demonstrates that the New Mexico grass roots support that I have been talking about for several months is fully supporting our campaign. Our internal polling information agrees with these results that my opponent has a core group of committed supporters, but will be unable to attract the majority of the support necessary to win against Ben Ray Lujan, Jr. I believe that I am the candidate that will best represent not only the Republican party, but also the party of Knowledge in November. I have never been afraid of competition, but given this level of support, I am hopeful that my primary opponent will decide that he has little chance to win and will join our effort to defeat Ben Ray Lujan, Jr. This is an expensive endeavor and having a united effort, as early as possible, will ensure that we change the culture of corruption and dependence. Basically, the neo-cons are pissed at Adam because in 2007, he protested the Iraq Occupation after being shot at during the Fallujah campaign (Feb-Sept 2004) and being discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in 2006.

It looks like this is part of a larger campaign by the neo-cons to purge the GOP of its libertarian faction, as the same people going after Kokesh are also whining about Ron Paul for the same “reason” — Paul objects to the Iraq Occupation. They refer to Paul as “RuPaul,” “NorLuap,” etc., and anyone associated with him as a “Paultard,” “Paulbot,” “Paulestinian,” “moonbat,” etc.
Libertarians such as myself, they refer to as “libtards.” If you take a look at Free Republic [freerepublic.com], you can’t miss it — just run a search for “libertarian” or “Ron Paul” there, and you’ll see what I mean in the comments posted by the Freepers.
Then they get pissed at us when we (LP members, BTP members, RLC members, C4L members, etc.) don’t support their candidates as much as they want us to (which would most likely require us to spend ourselves into poverty). This is part of what gave America Scott Brown as a U.S. Senator.
This is the same Scott Brown, who in 2006, supported MassCare, Mitt Romney’s mandatory health-insurance scheme, which I suspect was the template for the mandatory-insurance part of ObamaCare.
This is the same Scott Brown who recently voted for to spend 15,000,000,000 bucks for a “jobs bill.”

Maybe, IF she can stay focused on tax cuts, spending cuts and regulatory relief. But if she starts complaining that “Obama isn’t doing enough against Islamic terrorists” by not dropping enough bombs and / or “Obama’s letting the immigrants in so they can steal our jobs,” she’ll lose that focus and the Tea Parties will fall apart. Same if she signs on with the theocrats and starts making a big deal out of abortion and gay marriage.
I would add the Second Amendment to the issues that Palin should stick to in her public speeches.
If she uses those speeches to stump for the neocons and theocrats, complaining about abortion, gay marriage and Obama not dropping enough bombs on Afghanistan, then why should I bother? The Imperial District of Columbia will continue to grow in power, expense and reach, and the rest of get to pay for it and do as we’re told, or else. If that’s the case, I’d prefer to keep The Barack as First Crook, as an up-front enemy is preferable by far than a backstabber professing friendship.
Or the Legislature could CUT SPENDING. And I’m NOT talking about this “let’s slow the growth” crap that they try to pass off as actual cuts, but take this year’s budget as an upper limit, and cut from there.

I really could not care in the slightest if the 110 idiots in Santa Fe come up with yet another BS screwball scheme to raise cash for more welfare-state spending so they can pass out goodies to their corporate buddies. Let them have a garage sale and sell off their baseball card collections and whatnot.
Except they won’t do that — they’ll just raise the existing taxes upon the rest of us, or create new ones.
And what the clowns who wrote the report NEVER mention is that “corporate” income taxes end up getting passed onto consumers as higher prices (like any other cost of doing business), and it becomes a de facto sales tax. Unless they’re naive enough to believe that the corporate officers and shareholders are going to just eat those taxes . . . ?
