The Albuquerque (New Mexico) Police Department went on strike back in July, 1975.

After the lamestream snoozemedia predicted a massive crime wave, the actual result was the exact opposite — the crooks went on vacation during the strike.

They’re also supposed to use marked vehicles for traffic stops, last time I heard.

Albuquerque PD has outfitted its Traffic Unit with white, unmarked cars for decades now. Apparently, just having the New Mexico State Government plate (usually G-______) on the back bumper makes it a “marked vehicle.”

Self-loathers of any demographic tend to be despicable people if for no other reason that they often insist that others share their misery, and they do their best to spread that misery and self-loathing to everyone with whom they have any contact whatsoever.

This sort of thing happened in Albuquerque six years ago, after James Boyd was killed by APD SWAT for illegal camping in the Foothills (east side of ABQ) — the protesters stormed a City Council meeting, ran the sitting Council out of the room and declared themselves to be a “Peoples Council” for a bit til APD ran them out.

Funny thing was, I saw the ad hoc “Peoples Council” as having just as much legitimacy and credibility as the “duly elected” sitting Council that they attempted to usurp.

It should be noted that this group isn’t about putting people into public office just to put people into public office under the auspices of the Big L “Libertarian” Party.

This group is about promoting the Non-Aggression Principle in New Mexico or as related to New Mexico.

    From the sidebar:

Note: This is NOT an official Libertarian Party group.

This web space is for New Mexico residents who are small-l libertarians.

A small-l libertarian understands that the core of the libertarian message is the Non-Aggression Principle (some call it the Zero Aggression Principle, or Non-Initiation Of Force Principle) —

A libertarian is someone who believes that no human being has the right – under any circumstances – to initiate force against another human being, nor to threaten or delegate its initiation.

As such, it is assumed that candidates, officeholders or appointed spokespersons at all levels of government or any organization seeking the label of “libertarian” should refrain from advocating new or more restrictive laws, new or more expensive spending programs, or new or higher taxes. To paraphrase from the medical profession, “First, do no harm.”

Note: This is NOT an official Libertarian Party group.

Small-l libertarianism comes before the Big L Libertarian Party, in my opinion.

If a Big L Party nominee isn’t a small-l libertarian, that person is a waste of space on the ballot, and should never have been nominated in the first place.
