   Maybe I missed the amendment to the State Constitution that repealed Article II, Section 6, which reads as follows:

   No law shall abridge the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms for security and defense, for lawful hunting and recreational use and for other lawful purposes, but nothing herein shall be held to permit the carrying of concealed weapons. No municipality or county shall regulate, in any way, an incident of the right to keep and bear arms.

   I don’t remember seeing its repeal on the 2018 ballot, or any other ballot in the last 24 years, much less passing by any sort of majority of votes cast.

   Until Article II, Section 6 IS repealed via a proper Constitutional amendment, victim disarmament statutes such as SB 8 and its attendant “universal background check” mandate should be viewed as anti-Constitutional.
