    They’re that way in Albuquerque, too.

    I’ve seen them zip through “STOP” signs and red lights as though they’re not even there at all.

    Way back in the 1990s, one of the NM Green Party members wanted to change the traffic laws for bicyclists so that “STOP” signs could be treated as “YIELD” signs, and red lights could be treated as “STOP” signs. But ONLY for bicyclists.
