We recently received a message from one Mario Presutti, out of Oviedo, Florida —
“Hi, I am working with Chris Luchini with the state party, and I was hoping you could help us out by posting our job search graphic and a quick caption. We have a hard and fast deadline approaching and need to ensure that we meet our goal of ballot access, and the only way we can is by getting the word out. I’ll attach the graphic, and the caption we have been using is this: We need help getting our last few candidates on the ballot! Help us achieve our goal of ballot access AND make quite a bit of cash while doing it! Email xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx if interested! Begin making money as quickly as today!”
Funny how Luchini’s fellow Tapeworm patsies gave us a blast of grief back in 2017 about our bringing in out-of-state people over the years, but now, well, it’s different this time because it’s them on the hook to get stuff done, and shame on us for not having the slightest bit of sympathy or empathy or anything else for them, right?
“We need help getting our last few candidates on the ballot!”
Which candidates are these, exactly?
How tight are they with the Non-Aggression Principle (what the organization is supposed to all about in its messaging) ?
“Help us achieve our goal of ballot access AND make quite a bit of cash while doing it! Email xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx if interested! Begin making money as quickly as today!”
Where exactly is this “quite a bit of cash” coming from?

I wonder if they have any of those T-shirts left? That way I’m not limited to the two Johnson-Weld T-shirts I already have for gun-cleaning rags.

What does this say about the three “conservative” Republicans on the Council (Brooke Bassan, Trudy Jones, and Don Harris)?
If they’re willing to throw their constituents’ right to own and carry weapons under Pat Davis’ bus for the sake of political expediency, what other rights are they willing to trash, as well?

For what I’m seeing at about 3 AM, it looks like Gropey Joe Biden has won a lead on Bernie Sanders, with Sanders coming in second.
Whichever of them is the eventual DNC nominee matters not much to me, as the chances of my casting a ballot for either of them is as close to zero without actually being zero.
On a side note, Amy Klobuchar and Petey Buttigieg dropped out and endorsed Gropey Joe. Did Joe cop a courtesy feel on each of them as a consolation prize?
The best news of the night comes in two parts:
- Bloomberg, a real-life Duke of New York, came in third place after he blew through about ∅500,000,000 of his personal cash reserve while pitching his promotion of victim disarmament policies as a good thing. Serves him right. He appears to be re-assessing whether or not to continue a seperate campaign, or to back Gropey Joe. To be fair, the Duke did win American Samoa.
- On the Republican side of it all, Mr. Bill the Original Weldist got his head handed to him by T.rump. At this time (Wednesday, 5 March at 3 AM), Mr. Bill doesn’t seem to have received more than ten percent (10%) of the votes cast in any state, including his home state of Massachusetts. To date, his highest vote total seems to be that of the News Hampshire primary, where he got about 13-14 % of the votes cast. Even there, for every vote Mr. Bill got, T.rump got SIX votes. But that doesn’t stop him from sending out fundraising emails saying “this is our chance to take down Donald Trump.”
On the LP side of the 2020 presidential camapign season, Lincoln Chafee seems to be coming in a solid eleventh place, and deservedly so, as Chafee, like Mr. Bill who reportedly encouraged him to run as a “Libertarian,” doesn’t seem to have the slightest clue of what the Libertarian Party is supposed to be all about. (I for one am still waiting to see any evidence that Mr. Bill cares or ever did care about the Non-Aggression Principle. Not holding my breath here.)

4. Considering that the City of Albuquerque hasn’t been in the business of providing firearms to the general public in the 25 years that I’ve lived here, the use of the word “buyback” is an error at best, and a duplicitious lie at worst (I’m betting on worst-case at this point).

For what it’s worth, I bought my ticket online over two months ago —

As late as 2006, I had to drive around Albuquerque, looking for Ticketmaster sellers [1]. HoldMyTicket is so, so much BETTER than Ticketmaster.
Here’s the event poster (had to convert it from .webp format, as WordPress doesn’t like that one [2]) from the Sunshine Theater’s site [3] —

Leading up to Overkill, Exhorder put out a good effort. Here’s their official site, Facebook Page, and YouTube channel.
Here’s Overkill’s set list from last night:

In the middle of “Rotten to the Core,” Mike Trujillo, former host of Zero Hour Squared on the now-defunct (?) Channel 27, stopped by, said “Hi,” and we shook hands. Nothing like meeting old friends at these shows.
This was the fourth time I’ve seen Overkill live [4], and as on the previous occasions, they didn’t disappoint. I am hoping for fifth, sixth, and seventh times, wherever I might end up.

NOTES FROM LIFE, ETC.
- Went to see Overkill at the Sunshine Theater, my review here
From page A15 of the Friday, 28 February 2020 edition of the Albuquerque Journal, we have not one, but two “gems of wisdom.”
First, the writer labels anyone that owns or carries a firearm a “gun possessor,” and makes NO attempt to distinguish between criminal misuse of firearms and safe and proficient defensive uses.

So drug testing for welfare recipients, or as a condition of employment is unConstitutional and a violation of rights, but perfectly OK if you want to purchase a firearm?
