“But how do we deal with the parent who is willing to prostitute his/her child?”
That sort of thing actually happened here in Albuquerque a few years ago, where the drug-addled mother prostituted her 9-year-old daughter to her adult boyfriends in exchange for drugs and money.
Basically, people who would prostitute their own underage kids are the sorts who should not have had kids in the first place.
How to stop this sort of thing? First, why can’t other family members get involved and remove the kid(s) from the unfit parents?

If the Political Classholes stuck to legislating against malum in se crimes (murder, rape, robbery, theft — things that are bad by themselves) instead of continually inventing malum prohibitum “crimes” (things that are “bad” simply because the Political Classholes disapprove of them — guns, alcohol, changing your own car’s oil, hiring an unlicensed contractor to repair your house, etc.), then these incidents wouldn’t happen as much.
