A Threat from a Black-Hat Wannabe

Here’s a threat of ransomware that I received as a comment about twenty days ago —

2023/04/10 at 10:22 pm

Deanna Laurence
hacker@cloutzeventhire.com.au
138.199.18.75

We have hacked your website nmil.blog and extracted your databases. This was due to the security holes you had in your your site / server which have gained us remote control of everything that was on the server.

Our team is mostly interested in customer, administrative, and employee information which we have extracted through your databases once we got remote control over the server. It still needs to be sorted out but it will be well-organized once finished. First, we will be going through the emails / sms information and contacting the recipient how you held in disregard about their information being exposed to a hacking group when you could have stopped it. This would be detrimental to your personal image with these relationships with these people. Lastly, now that we have information not only will we be monetizing off it with our methods but made public or sold to other people that will do whatever they wish with the information also after we are done.

Now you can put a stop to this by paying a $3000 fee (0.10 BTC) in bitcoin to the address XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX We will be notified of payment which we will then delete the information we have obtained, patch the hole in the site / server which we got in and remove you from any future targeting in the future. You have 72 hours in doing so after viewing this message or the series of steps will commence. You can obtain bitcoin through such services such as paxful.com or do a search on bing.com

Well, it’s been almost twenty days. Not only have I made NO effort to comply with “Deanna Laurence’s” demands, I have no inclination to do so at any point in the future.

Furthermore, it’s been well past the “72 hours in doing so after viewing this message,” and yet “the series of steps” doesn’t seem to have occurred.

19 April — Celebrating and Remembering

Firearms Policy Coalition

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood
And fired the shot heard round the world.
The foe long since in silence slept;
Alike the conqueror silent sleeps;
And Time the ruined bridge has swept
Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.
On this green bank, by this soft stream,
We set today a votive stone;
That memory may their deed redeem,
When, like our sires, our sons are gone.
Spirit, that made those heroes dare
To die, and leave their children free,
Bid Time and Nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and thee.

Naturally, we can’t forget Mike McNulty’s Waco: The Rules of Engagement[1]

— and McNulty’s follow-up film, Waco: A New Revelation[2]

Today we remember that on Monday, 19 April 1993, the Clinton Administration was so concerned about child welfare that they were willing to kill 27 kids by asphyxiation, incineration, and automatic-weapons fire to get at three adults accused of tax and paperwork violations.

[FLPNM] LNC Meeting in Albuquerque (10-13 March 2023)

Over the weekend of Friday-Monday, 10-13 March 2023, the Libertarian National Committee [LNC] held one of its face-to-face meetings at the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Albuquerque Midtown [2020 Menaul NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico].

On Saturday, 11 March 2023, the meeting started around 9:00 AM MST.

Present for the Saturday meeting from the Free Libertarian Party of New Mexico [FLPNM] were myself, Rudoplh Kohn, Dr. Sandra Spinelli, Cynthia Carner, and Richard Gurry.

Reports were given by LP Executive Director Laine Huston and LP CTO Andy Buchkovich about the pros and cons of transitioning from Raiser’s Edge to CiviCRM and from Google to Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.

Following the presentations by Huston and Buchkovich, the LNC heard regional reports from those regional representatives who were present.

Side Note: The FLPNM is not currently associated with any of the current regions.

At around 5:00 PM MST, the LNC went to recess for the day, and made their way to El Patron [10551 Montgomery NE, Albuquerque, NM], where they were treated to dinner and drinks by the FLPNM.

At the dinner, Region 4 Alternate Joshua Clark was presented with a Life Membership pin by National Chair Angela McArdle.

“Republicans Believe . . . .”

I’ve been thinking for a while now, that if you want to see what the Republican Party platform will sound like in ten years, simply look at the current Democratic Party platform.

Meanwhile, Corporate America continues to throw dumptrucks full of ∅∅∅∅∅∅ [1] into the campaign coffers on “anti-corporate” Democrat politicians.

And these same Democrats like to advertise themselves as “anti-war,” while not only accepting campaign contributions from Big “Defense” (Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, etc.), but they have zero qualms about sending American forces to foreign shores when it suits their causes du jour.

“Republicans believe that some Americans should be forced by the government to pay for the health care of other Americans.

“Republicans support antidiscrimination laws that violate freedom of conscience and the natural rights of private property and free association.

“Republicans believe that Americans should be locked in a cage for possessing substances that the government doesn’t approve of.

“Republicans support an interventionist foreign policy.

“Republicans believe that the U.S. military should police the world.

“Republicans believe that the U.S. military should have bases and troops all over the world.

“Republicans believe that the government should take money from Americans and give it to foreigners and their governments.

“Republicans believe that the government should give students grants and loans.

“Republicans believe that some Americans should receive a refund of tax money that they never paid in.

“Republicans believe in saving the largest socialist program in the United States: Social Security — an intergenerational wealth-redistribution scheme.

“Republicans believe that the government should take money from those who work and give it to those who don’t.

“Republicans believe that the government should operate a rail service.

“Republicans believe in socialized medicine via Medicare and Medicaid.

“Republicans believe that the government should undertake space exploration.

“Republicans believe that the government should provide breakfast and lunch for school children.

“Republicans believe that the government should provide airport security.

“Republicans support federal subsidies to certain occupations and sectors of society: agriculture, the arts, cultural organizations, scientific and medical researchers, and low-income renters.

“Republicans believe that the federal government should have a National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) that Americans must submit to before they can purchase a gun.

“Republicans believe that the federal government should make home loans, guarantee loans, give out housing vouchers, and have a Department of Housing and Urban Development.

“Republicans believe that the federal government should have laws to prohibit or regulate gambling.

“Republicans believe that some Americans should be forced by the government to pay for the education of other Americans and their children.

“Democrats believe and support the exact same things. They just sometimes disagree with Republicans over how much should be spent on them.”

NOTES

  1. “∅” = Federal Reserve Note — Infogalactic / Wikipedia.

In mathematics, the symbol is used to denote the empty set, in other words, a set with no elements, a set with nothing in it.

Money used to be backed by some sort of commodity — gold or silver being the most common commodities.

So what exactly is backing the Federal Reserve Note?

I swear, Federal Reserve Notes (“FRNs”) should have printed upon each and every one of them the following:

REDEEMABLE UPON GOVERNMENT DEMAND FROM YOUR LIFE, LIBERTY, AND PROPERTY

Second Snow of the 2022-2023 Winter

Unlike 9 February, this time it stuck around.

First Snow of the 2022-2023 Winter

Yesterday was the first snow of the 2022 / 2023 winter season. We’ve had occasional flurries before, but none of it actually stuck on the ground.

Even so, it didn’t stick much —

Still, later that night, it had all melted way to nothing —

When such a weapon is developed, the same Political Classholes that are opposed to civilians owning lethal weapons will oppose civilians owning it. Take a look at the “laws” in Massachusetts and New Jersey concerning civilian ownership of pepper spray and tasers.

It’s called the individual, civil, natural, pre-existing right to own and carry weapons (“keep and bear arms”) for defense of self, family, friends, bystanders, community, and nation, as guaranteed (never “given” or “granted” !) by the Constitution.
